Global Compact

Progress report on the implementation of the principles of the UN Global Compact

 

Cheminova has supported the United Nations Global Compact since 2009. We support the endeavors to make globalization more socially and ecologically compatible and to raise standards in the fields of human rights, labour rights and environmental protection and in the fight against corruption. The following table shows the activities and management systems at Cheminova that support the 10 principles of the Global Compact and the results which were achieved in the period under review. The 10 principles in the UN's Global Compact

 

Human rights


Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and

make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

 

Labour


Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;

the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;

the effective abolition of child labour; and

the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupa tion..

 

Environment


Businesses are asked to support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;

undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and

encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

 

Anti-corruption


Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
