Our values

Our values, our actions
Values must be targeted and measured to be able to affect our daily life. Here they are transformed into examples of the values' impact on our company's development in 2010.

We achieve ambitious goals
We define ambitious goals and strive to meet them. The business plan sets out ambitious targets for growth from new products. This has helped us pursue our goals and achieve success. The target outlined in the business plan of a market share of 5% in 2015 has, however, proved to be unrealistic, and new goals concerning earnings and value creation have therefore been introduced.

We are innovative
We apply new knowledge. The many new products and exciting projects in our pipeline are the results of innovation. The LEAN activities and continuous improvements call for us to be dynamic, flexible and ready to embrace changes. These traits will be in demand after the implemented rationalisations.

We decide and act
We make decisions and take action to ensure growth and progress. Low earnings and high levels of funds tied up in working capital have led to too high debts. At the end of the year, we therefore adjusted production to reduce inventories and also initiated an ongoing process to reduce levels of working capital.

We recognise results
We acknowledge the good results produced by our employees. Through structured follow-up on performance, we ensure continuous improvements and greater value creation. All incentive programmes in Cheminova are based in part or in full on value creation (ROIC), most recently the new global profit-sharing scheme for all employees.

We are good corporate citizens
We work actively with CSR as an integrated management tool. Our CSR policies meet the increasing demands for ethically and socially responsible business conduct. In working with CSR and specific projects such as the village projects in India and Brazil, we are helping to make the world a better place to live.
